Two products, one decision
Siftly comes in two flavours because there are two fundamentally different AI surfaces brands need to win in. Siftly Answers optimises how AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity describe and recommend your brand in conversational prose — the right fit for B2B SaaS, agencies, professional services, and any brand whose buyers ask AI “what's the best X?” questions. Siftly Shopping optimises how AI shopping assistants and Google Merchant Center surface your individual SKUs to consumers — the right fit for D2C product brands with a catalogue, GTINs, and a checkout flow.
This tool picks the right one for you in under 10 seconds by probing your homepage for objective signals — no LLM cost, no guesswork.
What we look for
- E-commerce platform fingerprint — Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Squarespace Commerce.
- JSON-LD Product schemas with GTIN or MPN — the strongest single Merchant-Center-readiness signal.
- Open Graph product tags + consumer checkout markers— the “buy now / add to cart” signal that confirms a real commerce flow.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How is the decision made?
- We probe your homepage for objective Shopping-affirmative signals: an e-commerce platform fingerprint (Shopify / WooCommerce / Magento / BigCommerce / Squarespace), JSON-LD Product schemas with GTIN or MPN, Open Graph product tags paired with a consumer checkout button. If any of those fire we recommend Siftly Shopping. If none fire we recommend Siftly Answers — the default fit for B2B SaaS, agencies, professional services, and any brand whose buyers research with AI prose rather than shopping carousels.
- Why is the default Siftly Answers?
- Most brands aren't D2C product catalogues. Defaulting to Answers means we only nudge you toward Shopping when we have a high-confidence positive signal. False positives (sending a B2B SaaS brand to Shopping) would be much worse for the user experience than the occasional false negative (a custom-commerce brand getting routed to Answers when Shopping could also work).
- What if you can't read my homepage?
- Some sites block bots aggressively (Cloudflare, custom firewalls). When we can't fetch the homepage we default to Siftly Answers with low confidence and flag the fetch error transparently. If you sell physical consumer products direct-to-consumer, contact us and we'll confirm manually.
- Do you store my data?
- We cache the routing decision for 24 hours per domain so repeat queries don't re-fetch the same homepage. We log one JSON line per decision for internal calibration. No emails, no PII, no DOM scraping beyond the public homepage HTML.
- Can I change the recommendation if you got it wrong?
- Yes — there's a 'Tell us →' link on every result card that emails our team with your domain and our recommendation. We re-tune the signal weights from these reports.
Read-only homepage probe — no crawling, no LLM calls at decision time, no data stored beyond a 24h cache.
